Reference Catalogue Orders, Medals and Decorations of the World - Part I, Iron book
This book is very easy to use, both for native speakers and others. English has been chosen as a language mostly used in international communication. The book speaks for itself, and therefore there is no long preface to it. It is divided into four volumes according to the alphabetical order (A-D, D-G, G-N, and N-Z). Suppliedthe same number of colour photographs and drawings, each volume contains about more then 5,000 different items, index and the alphabetical list of the inscriptions ( book 4). With its 360 pages and the easily transportable B5-size, the book is available in hard cover.
Volumes I and II are coming out in the course of 2009, while the other two volumes are expected the end of 2010 and 2011 respectively. The mutually complementing books contain all official orders, decorations and medals, as well as additional military insignia of the individual countries. As much as it may not be gratifying, the book also contains prices. This is needed for providing a general idea of the items values. The prices have been assessed according to those achieved at auctions, fairs and the internet. In case that a particular price is unknown, or is extraordinary high, the item is markedan asterisk.
